Crawford has lived in three continents: born in the Philippines, kindergarten in Germany, settled in Fort Worth, Texas. His father was in the Air Force, then worked for an aerospace company in Fort Worth. His Mom stayed home to take care of Crawford and his older brother. He channeled his energy into sports, while maintaining straight As an honors student.
Crawford attended the University of Minnesota and 4-year starter and team captain for the Gopher football team. He received a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism, and worked as a columnist for the school’s newspaper, the Minnesota Daily. He met his wife of more than 20 years, Sarah, at the U of M, where she played women’s basketball.
Crawford brings more than 20 years of diverse business development and keen leadership experience to the table. After a career in advertising, Crawford gravitated towards recruiting, where, for nearly a decade, he worked a full desk growing a client base and recruiting for accounting, finance, and IT roles. He was a member of an executive leadership team that helped to launch several innovative athletics and lifestyle companies. And he most recently worked for an advertising agency as Director of Business Development. He is a steward of the community, having served on the Board of Directors for several nonprofit organizations, including Bolder Options, The Friendship Project, Eden Prairie High School Boosters, and Eden Prairie Football Association. He is also a longtime youth and semi-pro coach for football and track and field.
Crawford and his wife enjoy watching their kids, Devin and Vanessa, excel in their various sports. Devin attends the Air Force Academy and is a member of the football and track and field teams, and Vanessa attends Eden Prairie High School. You can usually find the Jordan family on the field, in a gym, or on their boat. They live in Eden Prairie with their two beautiful cats, Carrie and Miranda.
